Preview v2 without motion support (for linkers that have problems with motion functions, like new MK5 & clones)

Marble is a complete remake of the classic wood labyrinth game, in full 3D (both screen) with realistic physics, mp3 music, on-DS visual level editor and more…

Features:
– Physics engine, with realistic collision simulation
– Full 3D on both screen, either as one big screen or with 2 different views
– Skybox to simulate 360° environment
– Advanced 3D effects: point light simulation, projected shadows, motion blur…
– Full MP3 music & 3D sounds
– Special bonuses and scenery effects (let’s try this mushroom…)
– Integrated (on DS) full featured 3D level editor
– High score & progression saving
– 25 levels, with various environment and progressive difficulty
– Full motion sensor support

…and that’s only for this preview version 😉

Note however that there’s still some minor graphic glitches in this version as some parts of the 3D engine are unfinished.

More information soon…

Any chance of D-Pad support in the future.

The debug version have D-Pad support, but it’s not really playable… This game really needs analogue controls, so stylus / motion is still the best.

so wait.. your still coding? I thought you said that you could’nt anymore?

If you are still coding.. which it looks like you are, would you add multiplayer support to wtd? I mean you did (*cough*steal*cough*) get donations to get a whole new ds and card. You owe it to the people if you were to ask for donations to get it done. I mean the best homebrew out there.. has just been sitting.. with multiplayer you would be the best homebrewer out there. Well you already are 😉

falcon> This game was made during my year abroad in Canada, as a school project, and was a part of the cause for not having time to add multiplayer to WTD… :/

If I had time to do it, surely I would add multi to WTD but that’s not the case. And I just did some minor updates to Marble, nothing time-consuming as it was essentially bugfixes…

Really cool project. Of course it’s just for my daughter’s DS… . I like the bit about motion sensor support.

Which motion sensor(s) are supported please?

All the currently available motion sensors should be supported: DS Motion (slot 1 & 2) and R6 Gold carts works.

Maybe because you need to copy the stage files on the root of the card, not only the nds file?

    Hi Noda 😀

    Merci ^^

Marble’s level editor is SO GOOD. being able to re-size objects opens up a lot of crazy possibilities. Maybe this isnt within the scope of what you wanted to do with a wooden marble maze simulator, but it would be really cool if you could draw your own board shapes, and put gaps in them. Instead of being limited to a square or rectangle – anything from plus-sign or L-shaped boards to twisty curved pathways. ALSO. It looks like your physics engine for this game would be good at handling bumps, valleys, and ramps – that would be a VERY cool addition too. I don’t even have a motion card and this is my favorite homebrew game. keep it up.

This is really fun, actually! I’m a big fan of Super Monkey Ball and games like that so I really like this one. I could only beat like three scenarios, so it’s definitely a challenge. I hope it gets better in the future!

Marble should work with motion pak. I don’t own it myself but some people tested for me and said it works fine. And you should have no problem with an Acekard 2 😉
